Hello everyone. My name is Abdul-semiu Agboola Muraina. I am from Lagos State of Nigeria. So you could remove
me from Lagos, but you can never remove Lagos from me. It is a State with it's own identity and culture. I speak, walk,
smell, eat, and drink Lagos. And I am proud of it.
Lagos City is one of the largest in Africa. It was oroginally the capital of Nigeria. But it is at the Coast, along the
Atlantic Ocean, and Nigeria is big. So the capital was moved to Abuja, which is more central, but Lagos still remains the
commercial capital, and the preffered business ares for many investors. It has the infrastructure to support business
I am married to the most beautiful woman in the world. Her name is Nike, but I call her Malaika, Kiswahili name for Angel.
Okay, I don't know much kiswahili, and we do not use Kiswahili in Nigeria. Kiswahili is an East African language, but I liked
the sound of the word when I heard it from my Kenyan friend.,, Samson Lipuka, who is a broadcaster. My first children,
yes children, were twins; both boys. They are called Hassan and Hussein. My wife is a teacher and I am very proud of her achievements.

What do I do?
Nigeria is a land of many opportunities. It is large with lots and lots of resources. And we are the most populous
in Africa. But jobs a hard to come by.
To make ends meet, I do lots of things. I am a businessman and this means I
travel a lot. This keeps me away from my wife and kids but they are very understanding, and I love them for this.
Nigeria
is not just about football and corruption. We are a very peaceful people and hardworking. And Nigerian hospitality is second
to none.
Let me say something about the meaning of our names. Agboola means 'a circle of wealth' in the Yoruba community that
I belong to. Taye, the name of the first of the twins, simply refers to the one who was born first, and Kehinde refers
to the one who was born second.
Unlike other communities in Africa, we do not name our children after our relatives. Instead, we name them after
events, occasions, situations etc. Sometimes we may even combine two words to form a name.
